If u please halp me in this problem....
Problem Nr 1:
Mr Smith is the newely appointed GM of the Blue Largon Hotel,a resort hotel
on a sunny destination next to the sea that is part of a wellknown hotelchain
whith a CRS. The hotel has 125 rooms and some F&B outlets and entrainment
facilities.
The average length of stay is 1.8 nights. Sells outs start in April.Leasure travel
decrease in November due to cold weather. It is the worst month of the year.All
discounts are in place. Rack rate is discounted at 79 Euroinstead of 119 Euro.
He comes to you on the first Monday of September for help regarding a difficult
Situation that lays ahead.61 rooms are booked so far for November at 79 Euro.
All are individual transient guests.
Most fall around November 11-th and 12-th. Half of bookings are from chain’s
0800 number , and rest were either called in direct or made over the internet.
Mr Smith was informed that there is two-day important motorboatshow held in
the Exhibition halls of the town that was not originally planned at that place.
It is going to be a major event for all hotels in the city. But almost half of the
Paradores Hotel is booked at discount rates !
Mr Smith is consulting me to see what actions should be taken, if any.
First I will explain what will be my suggested strategies.
Second ,I will describe from my strategies what will be my different tactics. |

Il n'y a pas toutes les infos utiles. Il manque la categorie de l'hotel et les dates du salon. On peut quand meme dire que si l'hotel est vide et la concurrence a moitié pleine, on ne va surement pas augmenter trop les prix pour un salon de 2 jours. On peut dire que il y a le temps de faire des actions sur l'evenement et de vendre au lieu d'attendre. On peut proposer des tarifs aux agences et operateurs pour le salon en échange de groupes sur le reste du mois. je ne sais pas si ça aide ? CRYPTO |

I do not have other informations about this problem so,we can imagine some of them are missing..
Of course i like u'r ideas but i dont know if it will be enough :( because is a part of a project for final exam( and this is just a small one because i have 2 more pb. that i have no idea how to resolve them). Anyway thanks for u'r help..CRUPTO

Dear guest albana, I suggest you try to solve your issues by yourself. It would be far more valuable for your personal xperience & knowledge.

If i know it i will not ask u,but I'm in the first year in hotel management, what i did before and now is completly different ,that's why I have difficulties even in a little problems ,anyway thanks THB - RevDev..I will not disturb you anymore :)

Short educational memento & usefull game rules.
We are most likely to help anyone - of course forums members get a priority - The basic game rule is that even if you don't know, it should not refrein you from thinking and propose solutions.
Lazzy students or professionals that come to us with an issue and do not show any goodwill in solving their own problems are not welcome.
Of course you don't know and we would be very happy to help you. Please take into consideration that the problem is yours not ours. Work on it, use your brain propose something. Even if you get wrong I'm pretty sure that most of forums members would be very glad to share information with you or to provide you with usefull elements or at least with their opinion.
This place is wide open for people that share and bring something to the community.
